NINAÉ

Narrative Design and Living Heritage

Founded by designer Mélissa Zibi, Ninaé is a design studio born at the intersection of Art, memory, and identity. Rooted in her Cameroonian heritage and artistic family legacy, the studio cultivates a unique visual language where each creation tells a story, embodies an emotion, and captures a memory.

Ninaé embraces a plural aesthetic, blending the minimalism of the Béti world, the ornamental richness of Bamiléké and Bamoun traditions, the architectural rigor of Hausa design, and the craftsmanship of Indonesia.

This hybridity gives rise to sculptural pieces, at the crossroads of art and functionality, where raw textures, symbolic motifs, natural materials, and ancestral gestures converge.

Ninaé’s creations, conceived as visual and sensory narratives, oscillate between sculpture and utility, tradition and modernity. Each collection stands as an ode to transmission – a bridge between the creative spirits of the past and contemporary forms.

“I love architecture, interior design, and the beauty and uniqueness of rarity. The curves, the lines, the complexity of the creative mind. For me, creating pieces has only one purpose: to tell the story of life.”
