MAAPAM MIRIAM

Maapam Miriam is an ode to femininity in all its complexity — strong, enigmatic, creative, and deeply rooted. Entirely hand-beaded, the tapestry weaves circular forms and geometric pyramids, echoing the royal Maapam garments of the Bamileké princes. It pays homage to the women of the small village of Kalé in southern Cameroon — silent matriarchs, keepers of memory, invisible pillars of a community in motion. Miriam embodies quiet strength, gentle authority, and ancestral beauty carried across generations.
